Abacus

We had an excellent experience working with Abacus on the full gut renovation of our 2-bedroom condo in South Boston. From start to finish, the project was managed professionally, efficiently, and with a clear focus on delivering high-quality work.

A special shout-out goes to Paul, the project manager, who was fantastic throughout the entire renovation. He did an exceptional job coordinating the many subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and moving pieces involved in a major renovation. Paul was responsive, organized, and proactive, and his ability to keep everything moving forward made what could have been a very stressful process feel remarkably manageable.

We were extremely satisfied with both the overall experience and the quality of the finished work. This was actually our second time working with Abacus. They previously completed a large roof deck at our prior home in South Boston, and we had such a positive experience that choosing them again for our condo renovation was an easy decision. They once again exceeded our expectations.

We would highly recommend Abacus to anyone considering a renovation or major construction project. Their quality of work, professionalism, and ability to effectively manage a complex project really stood out, and we would absolutely work with them again.

Abacus Builders recently reached out to us at the West Broadway Neighborhood Association (WBNA) in South Boston. Mark Little asked us if the WBNA needed any help with the City of Boston sponsored “Love your Block” event. We had over 70 volunteers from our community help cleanup some 40 acres of our neighborhood, and Abacus sent a truck and 2 helpers to spread bark mulch in our tree pits. The Abacus team are very generous and big supporters of our neighborhood. We truly enjoy having such a great company and staff here in South Boston! Thank you to everyone at Abacus!

I used Abacus for a complete bathroom remodel and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The entire team was courteous, respectful, and highly professional. Communication was excellent throughout the project, with clear updates on progress and any issues that arose. Since this was my only bathroom, they were especially thoughtful about minimizing disruption. Their pricing was very fair for the level of quality and craftsmanship delivered. Even though this was a relatively small project for them, they made me feel like a top priority from start to finish. The final result was a beautiful bathroom, clearly done right and built to last.

Mark and Ger and the whole crew at Abacus are the best. I had a leak in the roof and many of my neighbors had told me they were spending $50k-$100k on work to repair a leak, which invariably included all sorts of extra work. Mark came over unscrewed several Epee boards which they built 5 years earlier. The rubber roof had an opening. Mark sent Gareth his trust roofer and partner over and fixed it for $400. Then a plasterer he knew came over and fixed my ceiling for another $400. You cannot make this stuff up!!! Abacus are the only construction firm we will call or recommend for the duration.
