Ben and Matt handled everything for us ben helped us get started and help me understand the process of dealing with an insurance company and then Matt helped everything get started and he got us approved and on schedule so fast and handled the rest of the process for us. This company is so professional and kind it is unbelievable. We had an amazing time having them work on our property. The crew that worked on the roof worked very hard and very professional and did an amazing job. My wife and I are very happy how everything turned out I could not recommend them higher and if you have a problem with insurance, they really really know what they’re doing.

Write oneThis is our second major project with Advocate and we couldn't be happier. After our positive experience with Advocate and their communication with our insurance company (Farmer's) at our first home, we decided to give them a shot at our current home. We were concerned about our roof and LeafGuard gutter system after noticing some missing flashing/fascia and major dents after a storm in March. We worked with Matt Crowley who came over and did a thorough inspection, showed us multiple photos and made sure we had all the info we needed before we decided to file an insurance claim. Most companies will put the pressure on without knowing your coverage or deductible and while I'm very versed in insurance, not everyone is...I appreciated his due diligence.
Matt has worked with multiple insurance carriers and handled all the heavy lifting for us. He was here for the inspection with the insurance adjuster and after the initial approval handled all communication with insurance as needed. Another nod to their KC based customer service, no long waiting on hold, no being passed from dept to dept to make a payment through an automated system, you get a real human!
We always hated the red roof and cream colored gutters on our house, but making the sharp change to black on black felt risky. Matt was patient, made multiple renderings and brought larger sized samples for us to see against the brick in different lighting conditions before we landed on a dual black roof with oversized black gutters with upgraded guards and downspouts.
The crew was professional, timely and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves (something I can't say for the roof done by a different company next door). Communication was spot on, every step of the way we knew what to expect and when. Post project when our ocd side crept in on two minor things, Matt was right there to make sure we were happy with the finished product. To be fair, he told us we'd want certain things and we said we would be fine...just trust him. If you don't know what "drip edge" is, he does and knows what will look best.
I've attached four after photos, the third is of the dormers before black drip edge was added, the fourth is after. Looks like a completely different house than before and we couldn't be happier. Thank you Matt Crowley and thank you Advocate!
We first worked with Advocate Construction after a severe hailstorm damaged our roof, and the experience was so positive that we continued working with them to replace all of our soffits and every window on our property.
That was no small project. We live in a 115-year-old farmhouse with a two-story barn, an extremely tall roof, and 54 windows. If you’ve ever owned an older property, you know that many contractors say they’re prepared for a job like that—until they arrive. More times than I can count, we’ve had companies show up after being told they would need very tall ladders, only to discover they weren’t equipped and had to come back another day. Advocate was different. They came prepared, knew what they were doing, and handled the unique challenges of our property with professionalism and confidence.
When I say they went above and beyond for our relationship, I mean they spent an extra full workday to source materials and build a protective structure to protect my native garden. I’ve never seen anything like it, and I’ve never heard of another company caring about a person’s garden. It was remarkable.
What impressed me most wasn’t that everything went perfectly every step of the way. On projects of this size, things inevitably come up. What sets Advocate apart is how they handle those moments. Every concern was addressed with care, respect, and a genuine commitment to the relationship. They communicated well, stood behind their work, and always made sure we felt valued as customers.
By the end of multiple major projects, I never once regretted choosing Advocate Construction. That’s a rare thing to be able to say about a contractor. I would happily work with them again and recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for a company that combines quality workmanship with outstanding customer service.
Advocate Construction is a crooked company. They are sneaky and tell you they’re coming out for an inspection, then sign their paperwork and then later find out its binding contract, that was done to us by Johnathan and Jordan. Then we were directed to use the Sales Director Anthony and for someone in that position he was horrific. Their work is subpar at best, when they did the work on our house they claimed it was completed on October 23, 2025, conveniently before the promised completion date in the contract of October 31, 2025, however, it was and still is not as of April 18, 2026 complete, the work they did was done with some damaged soffit and ridge vent, and shingles, that’s not completing work, that’s doing shotty work to hurry up and try to meet the date in the contract to say it’s done, seems odd that they had from March 2025 to October 2025 to finish and they squeezed in work 8 days before contract date, which by rushing resulted in damaged material installed and Advocate stating it was completed. Then they didn't even both to reach out to us to fix what they messed up until April 2026 and thereafter sent a mechanical lien. For one set of damages, we had 6 SOWs through this whole thing, the last of which they tried to say we owed more than we originally agreed, when I questioned this, I was ignored and then magically the number on the next SOW was the number from our original agreement. Had I not kept my paperwork or called them out on this they would have screwed us out of over $2K, not to mention to date the damaged material installed originally has not been fixed and then they had the audacity to send a Mechanics Lien to me. I don’t even have a final invoice, nor any indication that a lien was going to be sent to me. I have many emails/text/documents etc that negate what they are trying to say. I’m sure a lawyer, in which I will contact next week, will have a hay day with the information I have and what they are claiming. Homeowners, please BE AWARE of Advocate Construction, their entire team is a fraud, from sales to directors to workers. This company has no communication, no follow-through and terrible work. We also used their window division, big mistake, we ended up getting the windows half off because we were told nobody could do the metal braking around the brick on our windows properly, that was an understatement, it looked like a 2 year old did it, we hired an independent contractor who charged a whopping $400 to do it properly. Pathetic, a large company doesn’t have workers that don’t have the training to do the work and that was stated by an Advocate Employee. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company at all costs and let your friends know.
My house needed a new roof, gutters and siding and I used Advocate for all 3 and it was amazing! Dan and the rest of the sales team was great and they worked with insurance with me and stayed within the insurance estimate. The work was beautiful as you can see from the pictures!
