Our family had a great time at books and bagels. It was awesome for them to bring in an offer to read to our kids free of charge. They only ask that you purchased books from them that way they could keep the event going. I thought books would be extremely marked up and we were happy to say that we purchased a book and got the author to sign it for $10. In this is economy is pretty unbelievable. I felt extremely fair to me and was a nice experience. They offered free coffee at entry and you were able to purchase a bagel and a half of avocado for nine dollars. I thought this was more than fair and I understand that they have to make a profit so they can host this event as it was again free. I checked out the rest of the store and they had a lot of items he would expect for a small farm. I highly recommend their books and bagels event for families with children under three. I would also like to point out. They have a small jungle gym for Bigger kids located right next to the storytime area. Our boys were very happy just to run around in the open fields next to the area.

What a terrific experience! Nathan was our guide and was so knowledgeable about regenerative farming. He was able to answer every question I had and everyone else's questions too. The farm was stunning and the animals adorable. I highly recommend taking a rour. I also got some fresh duck eggs and olive oil at their store. YUUM!

We really enjoyed the tour today! It was just amazing to see this beautiful place in person. We were happy to see so many folks willing to be educated about soil health and how to achieve it. I appreciated the emphasis on California Native Plants and the creation of wild areas. Tour guides were great, the children were fascinated by all the cute farm animals, and there was a cart available for anyone who had a problem with doing the long walk. Highly recommended!

I had a lovely time taking the morning tour! The guides were kind and knowledgeable - and they were so patient at answering questions and shared their love for the farm! (Also, it was a delight getting to sample fruits in the beginning.) Thank you! 🩷

Our group of four had a fantastic time at Apricot Lane Farm. I’ve seen the documentary three times, as well as the follow-up on Disney+, so I’m a fan. The day was cool, sunny, with bright blue skies and puffy clouds. Perfect, in other words. All the tour guides were friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. They really take you hither and yon and there is one steep, slippery climb, so if you have mobility issues, it could be challenging. There’s a tram to accommodate people who can’t handle the trail. You can jump on and off throughout the tour. I loved being able to dig my hand into the cold-composting worm bin and see all the wrigglers, smell the intoxicating citrus blossoms, see the swirling fruit basket from Alan’s Overlook, marvel at all the different bird species, and learn that Emma’s granddaughter Itty Bitty is expecting her first litter. It was such a delight to be joined at the end by Molly, who was so open and present with us all, answering our questions with such thoughtfulness , humor and grace. And her sweet son read us a poem he had written about the myriad gifts of an apple core. I bought a variety of citrus (the blood oranges are insane) and a huge bag of arugula, and left the farm feeling nothing but gratitude that such a place exists—and that it’s only a 40-minute drive away.
