I am a beekeeper and i was appalled!! This hive is dead. It is filled with hive beetle larve. NO queen, dead bees, no nectar, no honey, no pollen. The bees that were in the hive looked to scavengers. How can this facility put such a sad and incorrect representation of a honeybee hive?! If this facility is going to host a beehive then it needs to know how to properly care for a beehive.

Write oneFor my nieces birthday, I asked: which would you rather have a toy or experience, she chose a trip to the Audubon Aquarium/ Insectatarium, We got there early and stayed till closing, her fascination and excitement to touch stingrays, see the sharks, and interact with the butterflies made for the perfect day.
What an amazing exhibit and experience!! I was very impressed with the educational displays and all of the staff members were wonderful!
We learned interesting facts about things from Louisiana that surprised us, even though we are from here and thought we knew all about crawfish and stink bugs! Lol.
The butterfly experience is truly an EXPERIENCE! It's very calm and beautiful and you could spend so much time there.
The young lady working there today (I am so sorry I didn't get her name!) was very welcoming and knowledgeable. I really appreciate the time she took to greet everyone that came in and answered all the questions we had.
Definitely a cool place to take young children to young teens. Even my daughter who is 16 really enjoyed it. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I just felt it should be more. It definitely didn’t feel like something could stand on its own, but there were a lot of really cool things to see there.
If your child loves nature this is a must see my daughter loved it. If you go to website you can't get tickets to all three Aquarium, Insectarium, and zoo for discounted price
