Back Forty Farm & Ranch

We went to Back Forty after seeing on Google that they were open, not realizing they actually weren’t open to the public that day. Instead of turning us away, Ron and Lisa welcomed us in, gave us a tour, and made us feel right at home.

We got to learn about the history of the land, their homesteading journey, and the incredible way they care for their animals and the land. It was truly remarkable to see how much love and intention goes into everything they do.

Not only was the experience educational and so much fun, but Ron and Lisa were the absolute best. We walked in as strangers, and somehow it felt like we left as friends. ❤️

Ron and Lisa have created the most beautiful little slice of heaven, and we feel so lucky that they shared it with us. Thank you both for making our afternoon so special! We’ll definitely be back. 🫶🏼

What a a great and fun way to spend the afternoon! Ron, the owner, gave us not only the history of his farm but also a tour of his garden and farm animals. Made me want to not only go and plan a garden for next year and unfortunately rethink getting a micro mini Highland cow. Who knew they’re hard to keep in yard?😩

There’s nothing quite like an apple, tomato or plum picked right off the tree or vine.

This Harvest Host was so memorable. The kind and friendly family was so accommodating and their property was really impressive with their organic and healthy items from the country store online - it was a total bonus for us. We enjoyed the most incredible pork chops, bacon, sweet corn and our pup loved the dog treats. We will continue to order your items online and will definately be back soon. Bravo Kern Family, Bravo!

Had the pleasure of a private tour last weekend with my husband and our daughter. Beautiful farm, animals, family and all of His goodness. Ron and his son (so sorry I forgot your name 😔) Absolutely lovely people. Tour was informative, fun and learned some local history. They blessed us upon departure with a dozen eggs from the farm. Hands down....BEST eggs we've ever had! After first crack, I noticed the yolks were larger and more uniform and the whites were as clear as day! First time I scrambled with a splash of milk...wow! As I poured it into the pan, I said, "it's like liquid sunshine" color was just that. Then I made another batch with no splashes 🙃 the taste of these eggs were definitely the best I've ever had. And the texture....*drools* creamy and velvety. Absolutely surreal...and that's the first time I said that about something I ate. Pretty phenomenal what God's land does. We will be back! This place is heaven on earth. For Christmas, my husband sponsored Pongo the goat for me and we got to go hang out with all of the animals! These babies are LOVED. Ron and Lisa are such wonderful people who really have passion for what they do. On our way out they gave us some eggs and they are THE BEST eggs we’ve ever had. We actually just picked up 2 more dozen today and some honey! I can’t wait to order some more stuff from their country store. We will be forever customers of Back Forty Farm!
