Cahaba Tractor Co.

Bought a L3560 from Cahaba Tractors over the holidays (Dec/Jan timeframe). I’m not a high volume, big money customer. Just a small buyer getting a new tractor. These guys treated me (and continue to) like I’m their most important customer ever. I dunno, maybe it’s because I so stinkin’ good looking but it kinda feels like this is just how they operate.

I haven’t owned a tractor before but I’m very familiar with them as I’ve used them extensively. Not saying I’m an expert by any stretch but I went in knowing what I wanted and needed. Throughout the whole buying process, the team at Cahaba Tractors engaged and asked me important questions and offered suggestions and expertise. It was very much a “consultative sale” vs. just getting as money as they could from me. And they were incredibly fair as we negotiated price.

After the sale and delivery, I put that beast to work immediately. As I got busy clearing land and testing the limits of the machine, I quickly realized one of the implements wasn’t sized quite right for my tractor. I called and talked with my sales guy (Chris Hudson) about it and within a week they worked out way to fit me with the correctly sized implement. It was clear to me they went above and beyond to remedy the situation I was in. Technically, it was on me and they could have justifiably left it to me to resolve. But they were in my corner and had my back.

Super happy with the whole sales process from initial contact to delivery and I feel like I have a whole support team in my corner to ensure I’m operating at full capacity. The kind of sales and service experience Cahaba Tractor brings to the game is the stuff that was typical decades ago. For the most part, that kind of customer relationship has diminished to just about zero in most places today. But Cahaba Tractors has kept it alive and well and they execute quite well.

Bonus tip: Ask for Chris Hudson!

I contacted the 2 weeks ago and spoke with service manager. I told him I had a tractor I needed a price on to repair and trade in and needed it picked up. I was told the woman that schedules pick ups was out and he took all my info and said she would call in the morning to have it picked up. I never heard from anyone. I called back late in the day and was on hold for 10 min waiting for the scheduling person to pick up which she never did. Someone did take my info and said she would call right back. An hour later she called and had no idea of who I was or what I needed. At this point I told her I wanted it picked up for a trade that I was just going to buy a new machine. She told me she would call me next week to pick it up. Its been 10 days and I still have not heard from anyone. How hard is it to buy a $20,000 machine?

I will say that last year I tried to get the same machine picked up and no one ever called me back for that pick up either and that was after 3 calls to this place. They have put a bad taste in my mouth towards Kubota and after owning one for 14 years I thought they were the best, but certainly not now. I will never purchase another Kubota as these people are the only ones around me that sell them. This place has serious personal issues and I suspect I am not the only one that is having these problems

Fantastic Company to buy and service your tractor or lawn mower. Bryan in sales will help you understand what you need and took his time explaining model numbers. The service department will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. They are honest too, I had a simple fix with a pulley and they not only fixed it super fast, but took time to explain why and how to prevent it. If you are in central Alabama, and need a tractor or zero turn, give these guys a shot. Good people.
