This is my first time purchasing a tractor for our property. I had a ton of questions and Andy was great in answering them all. He gave us plenty of time think it over. No pressure. Once we decided it all went smoothly from financing to delivery. Thanks so much to Andy and Champlain Valley Equipment.

I hate to have to write this because most of the people I dealt with are very friendly and professional - HOWEVER - I brought my UTV to them to fix an issue with the reverse gear. They wouldn't replace just the one gear they insisted on a full transmission rebuild for almost $3k. Ok fine I sucked it up because I didn't have time to do the repair myself and figured they would do a better job than me since they are pros. Wrong. Over a year later, it's having problems again, grinding noise, will not take reverse, etc. So I have to investigate. Open up the fluid port - there is no fluid! Fill it up and the next day all the oil is on my shop floor. Find it is leaking from the transmission case seam. Try to tighten the bolt near the leak - it is completely stripped. I went in and told them the story and they offered to charge me $120/hour to look at the issue, not willing to stand behind the work they had done when they ruined the transmission case. No thanks. As I am having to re-do this expensive work, i find that not only the bolts holding the transmission case are stripped but also the threads inside the primary clutch. Mechanic tried to install a helicoil in the clutch but it was so crooked I couldn't get the puller tool threaded in and had to use a gear puller to get the clutch off. Probably a good place to buy parts and new equipment but I wouldn't trust their service techs.

I recently purchased my third piece of equipment through Andy at the derby location. Every purchase has been outstanding. Andy is prompt on callbacks, and making the deal work for you. I highly suggest Andy as a salesman, very knowledgeable and cares about his customer satisfaction.

We had trouble with our tractor with only 200 hrs on it. We had the extra insurance on it but the issue was not covered, we were told our total would be $7,200.00. But after working with the Kubota Rep. and the staff at Champlain Valley Equipment our bill was reduced to $2,500.00. The issue had never been seen before by the technicians and was possibly a factory defect. It is nice to know that in this day and age there are still people and businesses that are willing to work with you.
