This is a great outdoor place where you can come with family and friends and just have a nice day out, enjoying the animal viewing and the greenhouse next to it. The place is massive but you won't think it by looking at it from the outside. The conservatory itself is huge and hosts a plethora of plant and flower species from all over the world. These are at the same time beautiful and curious to look at. The zoo is also well designed. There's even a water show with seals and all, but just be sure to check the show timings beforehand so that you can match it with whenever you're planning to go there. Definitely a must visit spot.

Write oneWe visited the Como Park Zoo on a very busy Saturday afternoon. While there, we visited several animal species as well as viewing a sea lion show. The zoo is small but nice. Our favorite animal was the polar bear. He enjoyed swimming, pacing, and playing with a big blue barrel. He was quite entertaining. Visiting the zoo is free, but donations are appreciated. Though crowded, we enjoyed our visit. It was a nice way to pass a few hours on a warm summer day.
I absolutely love the conservatory section of Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. Walking through the tropical greenhouse feels like stepping into another world, especially during Minnesota winters. The variety of plants, flowers, and lush greenery is impressive, and everything is beautifully maintained. The seasonal displays are always worth seeing, and there are plenty of opportunities for great photos.
This is also a wonderful place for families with children. Kids can explore nature up close, learn about different plants, and enjoy the colorful environment in a safe and relaxing setting. The atmosphere is peaceful, educational, and inspiring for visitors of all ages. One of my favorite places in Saint Paul, and I always look forward to coming back. Highly recommended!
