I had never been to one before but I like it. The workers were super friendly and the store has a lot of cool stuff! I will be back!

Write oneI'm a frequent attendee but a seldom buyer. I've experienced out of date paints on different occasions. On a visit yesterday looking at trail cameras the same item had three different prices. $99, $119 and $149 including a shelf tag that said the $119 price expired two days before my visit.
They offer a great variety of items to a wide range of activities.
Although I'm not a big fan I do buy things from them.
B UYERR BEWARE. The Cedar Rapids store has 13” EPDM straps in 2 locations in their store. Both with different prices for the same item. Upon check out the lower priced one rang up at the higher pri price. Had to cancel
My checkout. Walk back to the product take a photo of the price tag go back to customer service and show the photo. all this after they did a price check from the other location in the shore of the higher priced ones.
I really like this store. Everything's clean and everyone's friendly. The sales manager and the lady running the self-checkout were especially helpful today. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work.
I am extremely disappointed in this location and their customer service.I ordered chicks and was told they were ready on the first day they came in on February 25th. I drive from Grinnell that night to go pick up my order, just to get there and be told that none of my chickens were there. The following morning I get a call from the sales manager Jeff, saying that they did have my chicks but they got all mixed up with the sales floor and other peoples’ special order chicks so they didn’t know which were which. He told me they tried their best to sort out chicks they believed were mine, but there was no guarantee so he could either discount them very low and put them on the floor, or I could take those ones for free and get my original chicks reorder (as I asked specifically about in the text message attached before coming into town). I wanted to make sure they were still getting me my correct order for their mix up. I was reassured that this was the case and I could take these chicks from the back for free for the mix up and the hassle of me driving far to get my order. So I come in on that Saturday the 28th and they refunded and reordered my chickens, and gave me the ones in the back, which the only ones that were correct from my order were Easter Eggers because they got those in bulk and knew what they were. The other chicks were random- I got some kind of blue/grey bird and some with feathers on its legs? I have them pictured below. Not at all delawares, buckeyes, or lavender Orpington (which are $10/bird and a much different piece point than those they gave me anyways). So I took these birds because I was told they were free to me since they’re was so much mix up and fault on the stores end and my original birds would be at the store in a week or so for me to pick up.
Weeks kept going by at this point, I’ve called and stopped in several times, even contacted the hatchery itself to see if they could track my order, and then finally this last Tuesday 3/17 (about a month from my original order) I go into the store and meet the manager Steve. He tells me that they haven’t received any special orders, checks the back, and then assures me that he will call and see that I get my chicks. He gives me a $25 gift card for gas for all the times I’ve had to drive into town to try to get this figured out, it seems like things finally will be sorted out.
Until I get a call the following day.
Steve tells me he will not be getting me my chicks because I was given these other random chicks. I try to explain my side and that Jeff told me that those were free to go with me due to the hassle, mix up, and my time and gas to come in and reorder, because you can only order in store. He won’t list to me, he is being hostile, my husband jumps in and tries to explain the same to him because he was in the store that day I went to reorder as well and has listened to my conversation with Jeff the other manager as well. He tells us both that’s it and he won’t do anything else about getting my original order.
At this point I feel defeated, the communication in this store is horrible, nobody seems to know what is going on, what is said to who, what was promised to customers. I’m crushed because I spent time researching docile birds for my daughter to have and be able to help with, as well as winter sturdy birds so we don’t have as many losses this next year (we lost 3 of our girls this year and my 2 year-old and I were crushed) and now I’m being told I won’t receive any of them. He wouldn’t allow me to talk, wouldn’t allow for any sort of compromise so I could still get these birds for my daughter and I. Being talked to in this way was so disheartening from a manger in customer service. I just feel at a loss and all my time and money was wasted because I have random birds I never wanted but were supposed to be a compensation for this stores mistake. I would have never taken them if I knew it meant not getting the chicks I had my heart set on, and I paid more for as an investment for my flock to be more sturdy and gentle for my child.
