Relatively small Farmers' Market all around the courthouse in Hernando. Some crafts but not an overwhelming amount, fresh produce, eggs, homemade breads, fresh flowers, pottery, poultry and meats. Nice people.

A nice small town farmers market in a beautiful town center!! Lots of veggies, baked treats for humans and dogs, fried pies, a meat guy, chips n salsa guys, giardiniera guy!! Hoping next time we go to see more fruits but we'll definitely go again!!

Earth Day at the farmers market was unexpectedly very busy. However, it was well organized and well laid out. Enjoyed the morning with my grandson

Sometimes the best adventures are the ones we don't plan.
Didn't want to stay inside with the breezy, slightly milder weather out, so I ended up downtown Hernando at the Farmer's Market.
I WISH there was a way to "record" how the breeze feels and how the aroma of food being prepared smells. That, combined with the charms of "Small Town USA" created a delight in me that put a smile on my face and a feeling of peace in my heart.
No place is perfect, but this morning, in this quaint little Southern town, I was transported back to a kinder, friendlier time.
A time when neighbors looked out for each other, treated each other fairly, with respect and generosity, and made each other feel welcomed. That's what I experienced here today.
It is indeed a blessing to be able to find these little oasis of what the 'real' heart of America is about.
