Kennedy hardware in barnesville just pulled a bait and switch on me.. I called them to see if they had the filter for my push mower.They asked me for the number off the engine, which I gave them. Told them it was an oval filter with two holes in it. He said, i'm working on one of those mowers right now we have six of them, they're six dollars and change. I told him I would be down shortly to get it. When I walked in, I said I talked to somebody about a filter for a push mower, and he reached under the counter and pulled out the one up that we were talking about. When he rang it up, it was $15, that is overdouble. What he told me when I questioned him on it.He said, oh, the six dollars for the flat filter. He knew which filter it was, because he grabbed it when I walked in. This is flat out bait and switch, and it's the last dime. They'll ever get from me.

Honestly it's mixed feelings about Kennedy hardware. I use them a lot for my outdoor equipment. They are help with finding parts needed the problem is waiting for them to call you when the parts come in. I have waited weeks on items they said would be a couple days. I call to check the status of parts and after weeks of waiting they said oh yeah that came in a few days ago, we just haven't had time to call you. The store associates are really good people but being nice doesn't get my equipment fixed.

Walked in and talked to Lance about buying a new cub cadet and the information I received was very informative and he broke it down to make everything very understandable. I haven't been inside in over 20 years and I'm glad to see the hometown business still thriving in today's world.

I would highly recommend anyone in the market for outdoor equipment to go here. It's easy to see why my dad and his dad came time after time growing up.
