Shelburne Farms

The trails here are exceptionally well maintained, clearly marked with colored arrows and maps at many locations along the way. The views along the way are phenomenal! I would recommend everyone to try these trails! You can meet the cows, the sheep, the donkey's, the chickens the pigs along the way as the rooster wakes up the farm.
I have been out of state for 4 years and just came back to visit for a few days. I took a morning walk on the farm trail (blue) and captured these pictures along the way. I could not imagine a better way to take in the Vermont morning air once again.

My family came here expecting a small petting zoo, but we ended up with an awesome experience. The surrounding land is beautiful. Very friendly people. There is a huge amount of land for hiking and exploring, including by Lake Champlain. The main barn is gigantic and magnificent. Inside, the cheesemaking area and wood shop area were both really cool. Outside the barn there are many animals to see and pat, including sheep, rabbits, cows, and chicken. There are also many informational displays to teach children all about animals and farming. The icing on the cake was a farm food stand in the farmyard of the main barn. Almost all the food is harvested directly from their farm, including a delicious grilled cheese and a hearty salad.
