Our entire family has been bringing cars to Yeck’s since all the boys were in high school and driving beaters that they would work on, tell us what we needed and what we didn’t and if it was even worth fixing or not. My parents took their 18 year old seldom used car in and in the inspection found a broken exhaust bracket and it was suggested that the only thing they could do about it was put in a full exhaust system and no way to fix the bracket itself unless it’s welded and it probably wouldn’t work. And look, I understand liability and not telling people that it could be safety wired or a makeshift bracket could be made, I get it. But to even suggest a full exhaust system replacement feels like a bit of a slap in the face for such an old car. All in all it was suggested $4,000+ in repairs on a car that’s worth maybe $2k. Give me a break. It’s tough to see my parents get treated this way after so many years of what we figured was good, honest business. Two stars because the work they’ve done in the past was legitimately good work, but we would have a very hard time bringing a vehicle back here after this experience

I’m always leery of taking my vehicles to garages I don’t know and don’t trust. I know my guy, who I work with, and he makes sure my vehicles are taken care of, as I do when I install his computers and surveillance cameras.

The day I arrived, I noticed this is a veteran-owned business. Two family members who graduated from West Point, another who served in the Marine Corps, and others who served in Naval Intelligence had me look sharply at the Sea Bee on the counter. Check.
The next thing I noticed was just how CLEAN this garage is. You can eat off the counter. That's clean.
At 0730 in the morning, cars were whisked in and out of the garage doors. Then I met Megan.

Megan shows a big smile, a welcoming personality, and a lovely presence. She is the real deal. She finished entering my information and then told me that, since my truck might need a couple of days, they offered me a loaner car. Honestly. This is a professional setup.

As promised, I received a text later with evidence of what they found: pictures, high-def video, and a summary of at least eighty components they checked for safety. Total transparency. No sooner was I going to text back then Megan’s call rang on my phone. Her lovely voice met my ear as I drew my phone closer. She told me soup-to-nuts about the breakdown of the information I received via text and asked if I had any questions.
