Honestly disappointed in this place. In the past, my client found a decent exterior door here and I spoke with BMR folks on the phone to give them dimensions for building the door frame. Good experience overall.
Unfortunately, I arrived today to find a simple exterior man door and they only had 3 people working there. The counter guy pointed me towards the door section, but I had to wait 20 minutes to even speak to a door guy. When I finally got someone’s attention, he had this “I don’t really give a damn” attitude, half ignored everything I said, and stared at me like I’m an idiot. Really didn’t have the basic customer service skills I expected from a small business.
When I found the cheapest 36”x80” door for $69, he said it’ll cost another $170 to frame it. That’s at least $239 for the cheapest “B grade” door! The same pre-hung door at Lowe’s is $328 new in stock.
So all this driving to Sherwood and dealing with lackluster employees to save $89 on a banged up door, oh and I have to drive back to pick it up. That’s a far cry from the “50%-75% discounted doors” advertised on their website.
If the customer service was decent and I trusted them to build the frame properly, I’d be happy to support a small business with a minimal amount of savings. But poor skills and shady advertising doesn’t sit well with me.
I’d recommend you save time and purchase from the big box stores.
