We highly recommend Colonial Construction! We first worked with the owner, Bret Kemnitz, on a full-house window installation, and most recently on a siding project that included a facade update.
Bret is fantastic to work with, highly professional, and offers excellent design suggestions while ensuring every question is addressed. The craftsmanship across the board is outstanding: Nathan did an amazing job installing all 24 of our windows, and Zach did an equally incredible job keeping the siding installation on track and ensuring we were completely satisfied. The entire siding crew was terrific.
Bret’s team is courteous, hardworking, dependable, and deeply knowledgeable. There is a clear reason why Colonial Construction of St. Louis holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We already have a porch update in mind and won't hesitate to call Bret for this and future home updates!

We had a fantastic experience with Colonial Construction! They replaced our siding and windows and installed an aluminum wrap around our home. Bret was wonderful to work with—he was responsive, came out quickly for measurements and estimates, and made the entire process easy from start to finish.

Once our materials arrived, they got us on the schedule as soon as the weather allowed. The crew worked efficiently, completed everything much faster than we expected, and did an excellent job. Everyone we interacted with was professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with.

I don't know how to post 4.75 stars but it was close to 5. Colonial Construction in my opinion is a trustworthy company and specifically Luke is a very trustworthy person. Every issue and concern that I had along the way was addressed in a prompt and professional manner by him. Construction site clean up during the construction process was my only issue and when I brought it up to Luke it was addressed. immediately. My house looks great..!!!!! Thank you Luke...!!

I contacted Bret from Colonial Siding. He came by the next day and gave me an estimate for the job. The installers were able to start on the project the next week. They replaced siding, soffit, facia, and gutters. My house looks the best it has ever looked. The installers were friendly and they were careful around my landscaping. They took their time and were diligent about replacing some of the rotted original wood. I felt as though the installers were working on my place as though it was their own.
Bret was on the job site several times just to check in and to answer my questions. They were on time and did the job exactly as I had wanted and cleaned up thoroughly. They even returned without me asking to finish caulking above the garage, a spot that Bret had noticed on his final walk through. I have already recommended Bret to several others. He is honest and reliable. By the way, I had several other companies bid on this project. One came out and never followed up with a bid, another company never even showed up to give the bid. Bret made this entire process easy !
