We worked with Jake and his crew of subcontractors on a full kitchen renovation, down to the studs. While remodeling is not for the faint of heart, Jake made things go as smoothly as possible. He and those who worked on our kitchen were courteous, timely and their work is high quality. We wold definitely recommend him!

We had a great experience with this contractor from start to finish. They repaired our bathroom ceiling by first identifying and fixing the source of the leak, then refinishing the textured ceiling and painting—it looks like new. They also re-grouted the tile floor in our shower after the original contractor’s poor-quality grout began failing after only five years in the house.
All of the work was completed within a couple of days, the communication was clear and professional, and the quality of workmanship was excellent. We were very impressed with the attention to detail and efficiency. I would absolutely recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again for future projects.

Jake has helped me several times, from larger issues to small ones. He is extremely professional and is a top notch carpenter who can fix or install anything that comes his way! He works quickly and efficiently but does it right the first time. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him for any project!

My wife and I were looking to update our 25 yr old kitchen and replace the tub in the master bath with a walk-in tub. We met with and got quotes from about 5 contractors from our area earlier this year. We decided to go with Jake Gerl based on very good reviews from previous projects, the fact that he was very easy-going and personable, and that his bid was very competitive. Best decision we have ever made!
Jake always kept us informed as the project progressed, answered any questions that we had, was very flexible with the several changes that we added along the way, and gave us very good advice when we had different options (all of which were right-on and turned out great). The specialists/subcontractors that he uses for the cabinets, countertops, plumbing, and electrical were all fabulous.
We really appreciated Jake’s work ethic, responsiveness, and attention to detail He was very respectful of both our time (keeping us informed and being punctual) and our property (always removing his shoes, using drop cloths, and cleaning up at the end of the day)
We definitely plan to use Jake of Gerl Construction for any future jobs and highly recommend him for any upcoming projects you may have.
