Hamtil Construction LLC

I’m so excited by the results of my latest project with Hamtil Construction in 2026. I’ve been working with Hamtil since 2021 on various home improvement and repair projects. This time I had them update my basement, (new carpeting, paint, lighting, repairs), completely redo the basement bathroom, and update my powder room on the first floor.
As with other projects, it starts with “Passionate” Paul and “Kreative” Kerry. They did not disappoint in the planning and designing of my project by listening to my wants, and designing what works for me and looks amazing. “Kind” Kurt was my project manager. He was easy to work with as my project started and then as it evolved into the incredible final result. While there were many Hamtil contributors, subcontractors and inspectors who worked on my project, Kurt coordinated everyone to make it high quality, functional and beautiful. Jackson “of All Trades” and “Able” Aaron talents were key in the implementation and synchronization of the many parts of my project. Of course, Dynamic Dave Hamtil oversaw my project construction, but trusts his people to get things done to Hamtil’s high standards of workmanship and customer service. I also want to call out a subcontractor, “Remarkable” Rich from RCH tile for his artistic talents and kind-heartedness in making my tile work so “rich”, fun, and pretty.
I enjoy working with Hamtil for their communication, conscientiousness, and crews. They will be my first call whenever I need improvements or remodeling at my home.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Hamtil Construction as a tile subcontractor on several of their projects, and they are easily one of the best general contractors I’ve worked with. Paul and Dave Hamtil run an extremely organized and thoughtful operation—plans are thorough, communication is consistent and clear, and scheduling is always dialed in. Aaron plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly and is a reliable, highly communicative point of contact throughout the project. Kerry’s designs are always well thought out and detailed, and the level of craftsmanship across their projects is top-notch, helping the finished product come together exactly as intended. Most importantly, it’s clear they genuinely care about both the quality of the work and the overall client experience. I would confidently recommend Hamtil Construction to anyone looking for a team that takes pride in their work and stands behind what they do.

Hamtil feels like part of the family now in the best possible way after having completed a complete kitchen renovation among other smaller projects around our home (roof, basement egress, mud room). The quality and craftsmanship was excellent. The key was responding quickly to requests, thoughtful explanations of the process, and extremely personable and caring builders, electricians, carpenters, at each step of the process. They listen to you, are honest, and are completely transparent about their work. It was a long project that got disrupted by Covid. Working with Paul and David Hamtil at Hamtil Construction is the best decision you can make when considering remodeling your home.

In our opinion, overall, Hamtil is the best remodeler in town. This is based on having used Hamtil for multiple projects and having used other well-known STL remodeling firms.

Hamtil just completed an amazing bathroom transformation/expansion for us.

A large remodeling project, while exciting at first, will become tiring / stressful but if you don’t choose the right firm, it can easily become a living nightmare. Paul and Dave (and their employees and subcontractors) know this, and that is why being customer-centric is an important tenet of their firm. You always know the “who, what, when, where, why, and how” of the project.

Hamtil shines on all fronts: design, execution, craftsmanship, trust, and customer service.
