Such a wonderful surprise! We were visiting Wilmington for my daughter’s birthday, and she really wanted to go to Brandywine Zoo. At first, we were hesitant because it looked so small, but we decided to give it a try, and we are so glad we did!

The zoo is small, but that’s actually part of its charm. It is extremely clean, beautifully maintained, and the animals are incredibly close. You can see them in a way that you simply don’t experience at many larger zoos. The caracal was amazing, the birds were practically right in front of us, and seeing the anteater almost face to face was such a fun experience!

The staff were also wonderful. very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You can tell they really care about both the animals and the visitors.

And the price is incredibly reasonable. We paid only $38 for three kids, one senior, and one adult. There’s also a nice café/picnic area right next to the barn where you can bring your own snacks, relax, and enjoy your food while still enjoying the zoo.

Don’t let the size fool you! This is a beautifully cared-for little zoo with a very personal and unique experience. We almost skipped it, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Definitely worth visiting, especially with kids! ❤️

Brandywine Zoo is a wonderful place to visit and enjoy time with family and friends. The zoo has a nice, peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained areas, and a variety of interesting animals. It’s a great place for children and adults to learn about wildlife while enjoying a relaxing walk. The location near the Brandywine River makes it even more beautiful and enjoyable. A great local attraction in Wilmington and definitely worth visiting!

It's a very small zoo, perfect for toddlers. There are porcupines, red pandas, lemurs, a bald eagle, an anteater, and more. The staff are always very friendly. Joining as members is worth it outright after 2-3 trips and also gives you 50% off the Philly zoo.

Be mindful that there's a farmers market next to the zoo on Saturdays that can make parking a challenge in the morning.

This is a very small Zoo nestled in a very nice park in Wilmington delaware. I wouldn't expect much in terms of size, but the staff is all very friendly and the animals are all very cute and fun to watch. I went on a Tuesday morning with my mother, and we were able to complete the whole park in about 45 minutes. I was very impressed with the amount of caregivers I saw in the animals' enclosures, whether they were feeding them or tidying up the enclosure. the staff were all very friendly. If you wanted you could bring a picnic for afterwards and enjoy that by the creek. Parking was free and I thought the parking lot was a little small. They have a nice little gift shop. I don't think the snack stands were open so I can't comment on that. I would recommend this place for a quick outing before you go out for lunch or dinner.

Kinda love a small zoo! It's currently under construction but they let us know and gave us a discount on our entry. Got to be up close with the animals and they have some cool ones. Spent about an hour and a half. It was a great time!
