Camping World - Spring

We don’t typically leave negative Google reviews, but our experience with Camping World in Spring, TX has been incredibly disappointing.

About a month ago, my fiancé and I purchased a brand-new 2026 travel trailer. It was supposed to be an affordable place for him to live while working out of town, but instead it has been one problem after another.

From the beginning, the bedroom sliding door was broken, the shower leaked and flooded the main living area, and the refrigerator didn’t work. When a technician was sent out to make repairs, he arrived with his family in the truck and didn’t even have the tools needed to complete the job.

We still don’t have a working refrigerator. All of the food we prepared for my fiancé spoiled, and he’s now been forced to eat out every day, which has become an unexpected and expensive burden. To make matters worse, this is a 2026 trailer and the roof is already showing signs of falling apart.

As someone who relies heavily on Google reviews and customer referrals in my own profession, I don’t leave reviews like this lightly. I understand that defects can happen, but what has been most disappointing is the lack of urgency, communication, and customer service after the sale.

We expected much better from Camping World, especially when purchasing a brand-new RV. I hope this review encourages improvements so future customers receive the support they deserve.

I liked the store and my sales guy, even got a good deal… besides all that, worst customer service I’ve ever had in my life. Service department has zero follow up, parts take months to come in, tech and installers did the worst work fixing simple things in my camper. I had to make trips to the store 2 hour round trip 3 times and still they hadn’t fixed the issue and the last time they ran Sheetrock screws through the top of my counters… yes I had black screw heads visible everywhere. They promised to fix it only to send mobile techs to my house with the wrong part and I can almost never get in touch with service and they 9/10 don’t call back. If I knew this would be the aftercare I got I’d have purchased elsewhere and yes I got extended warranty. Waste of my time. If I could give negative stars I would. I hate to l ave reviews like this but I am fed up and I’ve been nothing but nice. Btw this was pics of the bed frame that has been unlevel since I purchased the camper and it has caused me to sleep head lower than feet. This has been unresolved since 12/1/2026 and still isn’t fixed.

Camping World was such a neat experience. The variety of RV’s they have there covers all kinds of needs. We fell in love with the Campsite Forest Reserve it fit our families needs perfectly. The whole staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. Griffin and Patrick were top notch salesmen. They were not pushy whatsoever and followed our lead and showed us exactly what we asked for. They assured me they would take care of anything we needed. Every employee interaction was memorable you can tell everyone really enjoys their job. (The finance lady was so personable and sales manager was more than helpful with allll our needs) our hiccup was leaving our ball hitch was too small and thankfully Blair was there to make sure we left safely. The poor man in maintenance helped us so much we felt bad we had to keep bothering him for help, but he seemed happy to help each time. Needless to say we left safely thanks to the CW team and every single employee really went out of their way to assist us. We are first time RV’ers and the whole process can be intimidating to leave but we were in good hands . We’re home and have already enjoyed our first night camping, we couldn’t be more happy with our purchase. We were also Griffin’s 1st sale (YAY) so go see him and Patrick and give them some love they are a great team.

3 months after I bought my first RV from Camping world at Springs Texas location:
When I bought it from them, I had been told that every time that I need propane gas I can go over any Camping world and they'll give me the propane for free. So I said, for real? And seller said "you sure will sir!!! any time you need propane".
Today I needed propane for my RV and went to get some "free propane" and they charged me 3,75 per gallon of propane. I paid 28,88. So when they tell you that something is going to be free at the time of the buy, you better get it in a paper or you'll be (you know what)...

Camping World at this location is now under new management, and we had an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived, every staff member greeted us warmly and provided exceptional customer service. The store was well-stocked and organized, and the bathrooms were spotless. We also explored the new RVs from Fifth Wheel, tow trailers, Class C and Class B, and Class A models. All the RVs we mentioned were displayed prominently in the showroom.
