I had a very disappointing experience with Gregg Young Chevrolet’s service department.

I dropped off my Tahoe to have it inspected and serviced. I was informed that one of the front struts was blown and was given a quote for the repair. Their price was considerably higher than other shops in the area, so I declined the repair. My service advisor, John, came back with another price, and after going back and forth, I clearly told him I was declining the work and would be taking my vehicle somewhere else.

Despite that, they proceeded with an alignment and tire rotation. When I arrived to pick up my Tahoe, I was told I owed for those services. My first question was: Why would you perform an alignment on a vehicle when you have already determined that it has a blown strut? More importantly, why were services performed after I had made it clear that I was declining the work?

I became frustrated with John and asked to speak with the manager. John informed me that he was the manager, so I told him I was done trying to resolve the issue with him and wanted to speak with someone else. When I spoke with another manager, I explained that I did not believe I should be responsible for paying for an alignment that I had declined, especially when they knew the vehicle had a failed strut. Instead of trying to understand my concern, I felt his response was dismissive and rude, and he insisted there was nothing wrong with performing the alignment under those circumstances.

I then took my Tahoe to another repair shop and explained exactly what had happened. Their service advisor was surprised that an alignment had been performed knowing the strut was blown. After inspecting my vehicle, their technician told me the alignment was one of the worst he had seen in his career.

What makes this even more frustrating is that the second shop replaced BOTH front struts AND my front brakes for less than Gregg Young Chevrolet quoted me for the strut work, tire rotation, and alignment.

My issue isn’t simply that Gregg Young was more expensive. Businesses can charge whatever rates they believe are appropriate, and customers can choose whether to accept them. My issue is that I specifically declined the work, yet services were still performed and I was then expected to pay for them. On top of that, I left with serious concerns about the quality and judgment behind the work that was performed.

After this experience, I have lost confidence in this service department and will not be returning. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and making sure there is absolutely no misunderstanding about what work you are—and are not—authorizing before leaving your vehicle here.

We experienced outstanding customer service when purchasing our new Chevrolet Trailblazer. We were met with friendly staff every time we were there.

Our sales representative, Will, was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and answered all our questions. We were deciding between two vehicles and he was able to point out the differences between the two.

We also worked with Matt & Steve, who were equally helpful and great to work with.

The entire Gregg Young staff were exceptional!

Thank you!

I can't recommend John Fabian at the Gregg Young Collision Center enough! After being in a car accident, I was already stressed dealing with insurance and trying to figure out where to take my vehicle. My insurance company's recommended shop didn't leave me feeling very confident, so I decided to look elsewhere. Gregg Young was recommended to me, and I'm so glad I went there.

From the moment I walked in, John made me feel like I was in good hands. He assured me that he would handle everything with the insurance company, work to get the correct OEM parts whenever possible instead of generic replacements, and get my vehicle repaired as quickly as he could without sacrificing quality.

One thing I appreciated most was his communication. He kept me updated several times a week, letting me know exactly where everything stood. I never had to wonder what was happening because I knew John had everything under control.

When I picked up my vehicle, I was blown away. It looked absolutely perfect, you would never know it had been in such a significant accident. Even better, it actually drove better than it did before the accident!

If you ever need collision repairs, I highly recommend asking for John Fabian at Gregg Young Collision Center. His professionalism, communication, and attention to detail made an incredibly stressful situation so much easier. I would recommend him over and over again!

I love my Chevy truck purchased from here. We also purchased service contracts; however, there appears to be a disconnect in communication between when we deliver my truck to when it actually receives service - because it's never the same as intended/needed. Rodney in sales is great and oddly enough, the food here is delicious while you wait. Service department needs to step up their game and could probably do this if there were additional staff and communication was addressed throughout departments.
