Really on the edge of giving two stars, but felt it didn’t quite deserve it.

Used their dog wash station for the first time today and was overall not pleased.

It was very very dirty. There was clumps of dog hair all over the floors, under the mats, in the tubs, literally everywhere. Both of the dog brushes were also full of black dog hair. The floor was still fairly wet and I’m assuming the employees did not know that the last person to use it had poor etiquette and did not clean up after themselves.

My biggest complaint was not the cleanliness of the station, but my ability to clean up after myself. There were no towels to wipe anything down, and there was no disinfectant spray or rinse to clean the tub or blow dry station. You are only provided with a broom and a squeegee for the floor. I tried my best with the tools I was provided but I was not satisfied with the way I had to leave it.

I want to emphasize how important it is to have a disinfectant rinse for the tub. I felt very weary using it without cleaning it first.

I will say though, that their blow dry station is top notch. At home I typically use a leaf blower to dry my dog off, but that doesn’t even come close to how effective their blow dryer is. My dogs undercoat practically melted off of him!

I was also very grateful that it was free.

While I was there there were three employees standing together talking, and while I don’t believe the employees need to be moving or working every second of the day, I do think that they should put a little bit more time into maintaining the dog wash station.

I will give this place another shot in the future in hopes it will be a better experience.

Avoid this place if you’re looking for healthy animals. I bought chicks here and they started dying the very next day. The store refused to stand by their sale or offer any kind of warranty. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about their customers and the health of their animals. Never again. Murdochs is where you want to go they won't sell you cedar pine to kill your birds so you have to go back and buy more

Usually great. Wanted to try their new self wash but someone was using it. We left and came back 7 mins later and saw the dog walking out so we went in and waited for them to clean it. Before they got a chance someone else went in to use it. We walked around for 10 mins and left them finish up, saw that dog leaving and went again to use it and someone else was in there again with a other dog before it was cleaned.
Definitely recomend going somewhere else, they dont seem to have enough staff to monitor or clean the self wash. It very important to sanitize it after each customer to reduce the spread of diseases since vaccines arent required to use any self wash in town
